BIOMASS HEATING SYSTEM SHIPPED TO THE PILOT PLANT SITE
In March, the biomass heating system demonstrator has been shipped to DRALOD pilot plant in Chiloeches (Spain). Project partner A.P. Bioenergietechnik designed and implemented an ÖKOTHERM® compact biomass boiler of 950kW modified with new additional features for an optimised performance as part of the DRALOD drying plant. The complete system has approx. dimensions of 5,5m x 2,0m x 2,7m and a weight of 12 tonn. Its flow maximum temperature is of 90ºC.
Prior to its shipment to Spain, the biomass heating system demonstrator accomplished the needed quality checks. The system was tested as a stand-alone system in a cold running test for several days in A.P. Bioenergietechnik workshop. Some pictures of the system loading for transportation are shown below. The biomass heating system has safely arrived in Chiloeches and it is ready to be installed as part of the DRALOD drying plant!

DRALOD is co-funded by the European Commision - Horizon 2020 Programme - under Grant Agreement 820554
