THE MOST ADVANCED
RENEWABLES-BASED DRYING TECHNOLOGY
Cost-effective valorization of waste from the food processing industry
APLICATIONS
DRALOD is addressed to waste management enterprises serving the food processing sector since most enterprises in the food sector outsource their waste management operations to specialized subcontractors. It is also addressed to the Food Manufacturing and processing sector, p.e. for valorization as functional food additives perfectly aligned with the food enterprises core business.
MAIN INDUSTRY SECTORS
FOR THE USE OF DRALOD PLANTS

Brewery

Fruit Juice

Olive Oil

Canned Vegets

Wineries

Beet Sugar

Coffee Drinks
OBJECTIVES
The EU27 annually generates 90 million tonnes of food waste, with a 39% generated in the manufacturing processes. The food processing industry critically needs sustainable solutions for waste valorisation and re-use.
DRALOD contributes to this industrial and societal challenge by promoting the valorisation for reuse of wastes from the food and drink processing industry.
THE FOOD AND DRINK PROCESSING INDUSTRY ARE CHARACTERISED BY CONTAINING:

DRALOD is a disruptive and replicable drying process 100% environmentally friendly
DRALOD uses renewables only, to allow valorisation of plant-origin waste into highly valuable functional ingredients as demanded by the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industry.

DRALOD is extremely cost-effective
DRALOD drying plant has a pay-back period shorter than 6 years for an average plant with 35,000 tonnes/year capacity.
